Located in the historic parish of Aldrington; now part of Hove, Westbourne Street and the surrounding roads were built between 1881 - 1891.   It is suggested that there is / was a stream running under the street, called Westbourne Stream - hence the name.  Westbourn Street has been home to many famous individuals including the photographer Maximilian Guillon and a number of the properties are rumored to be haunted.
